In our day-to-day hurriedness, most of us get caught up in the rush from one task or circumstance to another, and in the process lose site of what is... We become fragmented in our elusive quest to finish this and plan for that. All the while telling ourselves that once this or that is achieved.... then we will have "arrived" and can/will relax. The problem is: With the hurried-mind running the show, the relaxed mind cannot be found. The solution: Gratitude of the present moment and a willingness to fully take part, therein. Only via fully engaging in that which is, can peace be found. It is not and cannot be otherwise. Seeking to be someone or somewhere other that who you are and where you are now is the root of hurriedness.... And hurriedness and gratitude are antithetical.
